Cannot Initialize

The intent of this forum is to discuss my DOS TSR programs (available at http://bretjohnson.us), how they work and don't work, new/missing features, status of updates, and anything else related to them that may need to be discussed.

Cannot Initialize

Postby aloha » Fri Apr 26, 2013 8:26 pm

Hello,
I'm tried to set up a USB Controller (it supports UHCI) but whate ever I'm trying I got cannot initialize. Tried every IRQ and nothing. The USB Controller is installed on a 486 Mobo (KMS-4.3). I leave under as attachment some screenshots. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks a lot,
aloha

Try installing with the /PD option. That should give a clue as to where exactly the failure is occurring.

You can also try installing the second UHCI controller before the first (with the /Index:1 option).

Hi again,
So using /index:1 doesn't help. When typing usbuhci /PD i have that:\

Thank You for your help :)

It looks like your host controller either isn't resetting correctly, or is taking too long to reset and is timing out. This could be because you're running on a relatively slow computer (486).

I'll privately e-mail you a modified version in the next couple of days to try. If the changes work, I'll add them to the next official release.

Thank You a lot for your help and engagement.
